| Mod About You by OPI |
I am often asked by those around me how I care for my nails and cuticles so I thought I would share the process!
I soak my hands in some water and olive oil first, this makes my skin soft and easy to work with. After drying my hands I'll apply the Instant Cuticle Remover by Sally Hansen. I've recently started using this product and I'm in love with it. If you are hesitant like myself about buying this product let me assure you that it doesn't actually remove all the cuticle, only the extra bit that sticks to your nails.
After letting the gel sit for about 15 seconds I will use either a wooden cuticle pusher or a metal one to push my cuticles back. I don't actually cut off the cuticle unless there is a bit that is extra.
Following that I will wash my hands with soap and water. Then I will shape my nails with a file and use a nail buffer as well which helps nail polish stay on longer!!
I wash my hands again after that and then follow up with a base coat. My favourite of all time is Nail Envy by OPI, thanks to this little product my nails no longer break and peel. Then goes the nail polish and a top coat by OPI that makes my nail polish look even shinier.
I have very dry skin so I make sure to frequently moisturize my cuticles and nails which also helps them to stay healthier and prevents them from breaking.
Currently I'm using Burt's Bees Cuticle Cream and L'Occitane hand cream.
Hope this post is helpful :)
